A Quantum of Poetry
“In my opinion, much of the confusion around quantum physics is that we naturally try to picture the unknowable and see the unthinkable,” says physicist Dr James Millen of King’s College London. “But language transcends visual limitations, and can appeal directly to the imagination.” And so to give a clearer picture of the quantum world he sought the assistance of a poet – Dublin-based writer and performer Chandrika Narayanan-Mohan, a Goethe-Institute Artist-in-Residence.

Paths of Desire: Exploring Drumcondra through walking and writing
As we tread a path through a city, the city in turn makes its imprint on us. This walking and writing session with writer Chandrika Narayanan-Mohan will take us from Glasnevin Cemetery through Botanic Gardens, across Griffith Park, and finally ending at Belvedere House, DCU St Patrick's Campus, where participants will explore their memories of the city through discussion and writing over a cup of tea or coffee.

Amplify: A Creative Response, in partnership with Safe to Create
In July 2024, Safe to Create launched a new research report, AMPLIFY: A Call for Transformative Action. AMPLIFY presents the findings of a comprehensive research programme, designed to shed light on the lived experiences of disabled, LGBTQIA+, and ethnically diverse artists and arts workers in Ireland. The event will conclude with the premiere of an artistic response to the report by Chandrika Narayanan Mohan, which has been commissioned by First Fortnight.
